AI is capable of finding bugs and security flaws that most engineers can't, but it also creates code full of tech debt and vulnerabilities when let loose. AI is great for code reviews (of human written code) and small fixes/patches on established codebases with good practices that were built entirely by humans. Unfortunately big part of the software industry is doing the opposite: having humans review AI-generated code, and having humans work on top of unreliable PoCs built by AI.
