Terry's stance has shifted gradually. This reminds me of Garry Kasporov's response and stance a few decades ago agains deep blue (and deeper blue). I think in a closed system/game (or "field"), this kind of AI superiority is inevitable. However, I do agree with Terry that we need the right form of transition if we want to continue holding the rein or at least playing a part in the subject.
