I’m going to guess that parts for these 500 unique models are mostly coming out of the same handful of factories in China. While yes maintenance is definitely a concern I think as long as there is a steady supply of these EVs the market will figure out repair.
Many of them are not constructed for repair and have a lot of integrated components. It's an era of disposable cars so to speak.
