Regular people absolutely get things that they couldn't get before... that's not exactly money and time per se but it's still something that has some value. The Internet Was the Same way. Mass production of electronics the same way. What regular people could afford to have simply was completely different than what existed in the past. Being able to ask any question to get an instant answer for example is quite powerful. Now admittedly if it's something that you don't value then it's frustrating that you didn't seem to have any choice in the matter but this is where the value is now coming
