Could you please stop posting unsubstantive comments and flamebait? You've unfortunately been doing it repeatedly. It's not what this site is for, and destroys what it is for.

If you wouldn't mind reviewing https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and taking the intended spirit of the site more to heart, we'd be grateful.

I don't think you've understood, let me clarify.

So the inputs to "Hire-a-Drummer" are always the same. Sometimes the mechanism is an actual drummer, sometimes it is a programmed drum machine, and sometimes it is AI generated. It's impossible to tell from the outputs what the mechanism was.

Does the mere use of "Hire-a-Drummer", even assuming that the drum tracks were recorded by an actual drummer, diminish my creativity in the final songs on the album? Is it neglectful to outsource drumming in the first place?

Programming your drums yourself is perfectly ok, hiring a drummer is ok, both involve humans, their vision and feelings. AI is not ok.

If you played a lot of parts yourself and put your effort into them, why drag those AI drums in? That's like sculpting 90% of a sculpture with your hands and then generating the remaining 10% and 3d printing them in. For what sake?

Answering your question, it diminishes nothing except your own honesty with yourself and your listeners. If you're fine with that, well, you do you.

Why does hiring a known human drummer directly instead of using the black-box "Hire-a-Drummer" make my own creative contribution any more or less significant?

The morality of AI is another discussion entirely.

Or are you suggesting there's a spectrum here? Is the overall creativity of the album greater with a human drummer than with drum samples, a drum machine, or AI-generated drums?
