The easy avail of massive amounts of pre-existing "good enough" video shows to stream, music to play, games to play, books to read means we could prob stop producing anything new today and for the rest of our lives still have more to watch than we'd ever have the time to get through. I once had 5 to 7 distinct paid streaming services, at my peak, then realized that just Prime or HBO alone could keep me saturated, or say Prime plus YouTube. heck YT alone might be reaching that point for me, with free videos by indie/influencer/longtail channels.
The bar is much much much higher today to standout and be worth one's attention, and most sources of entertainment/stimulation are very fungible.
