PLEASE rewrite this without AI-isms. AI can write perfectly good code now, but its prose - even the latest models - is just awful to read. It hurts my brain to read this.
I like it this way, it gives correct expectations regarding effort put into the rest of the project.
That's a bit rough. Would we say the same before AI? Bad docs so bad project? I guess people should realize that less is more, don't commit that bad README not even as placeholder.

To a large degree, yes. But I would say it's more like "lack of care, bad project".
