It's hard to monger WWIII when people from all over the world talk to each other and know for a fact that it's not the guy to this or that side of a border who's the enemy, but their own governments are (working to the same squid endgame).
Or maybe it's easier, if you can convince the people over the border that the enemy is people living among them, and their government.

Except that it IS the guys on the other side of the border and current internet makes it clear.
The opinions differ about which other border side guys are the bad ones and what should the goverment do about it.
